ABOUT

Small churches deserve big time expertise.

Chuck Kent, our founder, likes to joke that he pivoted to serving small, progressive churches as a way to atone for his misspent youth in big-agency advertising, when he worked on accounts like Pepsi, Wrigley and Six Flags. More to the point, after a lifetime of churchgoing, Sunday School teaching and trying to enhance church communications as a volunteer, he is all too familiar with the need for a more professional approach. This seems especially true among small, progressive congregations that often struggle for attention in a spiritual marketplace dominated by hyper-marketed megachurches.

So, Chuck pivoted his long-time virtual agency, Creative on Call, Inc., away from business clients and toward the sometimes unholy mess of church communications. And he enlisted his designer daughter to help.

Chuck Kent | Brand Strategy, Creative Direction, Writing

.Chuck converted his English Major into an ad career, starting at BBDO New York, then moving to their Chicago office, and ultimately creating his own firms. Over the years, he has employed a wide variety of talents in pursuit of big ideas, from strategic insight to copywriting, design to videography and even songwriting. He has a wonderful wife, two perfect daughters (including the one below), and a goofy, 85-pound bernadoodle.

Becca Kent | Graphic Design

Becca had to live through her Dad’s Sunday School classes growing up in Evanston, Illinois. She finally escaped to California, earning a BFA in Graphic Design & Digital Media from Laguna College of Art and Design. Becca honed her print skills (yes, print still matters!) at the Code Four Agency, and deployed her digital talents for the clothing brand Travis Matthew. She lives with her husband Max, and dotes on her chihauhua-minpin mix, Sansa, as well as her cat Bastet.

"I wish every progressive church in America had Creative on Call on its side."
